About the Event
On January 23rd, The Day One Project, housed at the Federation of American Scientists, will be hosting a daylong event at the National Academies focused on a suite of new S&T policy proposals for the upcoming presidential term.
At the outset of a presidential election year, January 2020 represents an opportunity to take stock of the state of American S&T innovation and showcase bold new ideas and fresh perspectives for action in 2021 and beyond. On January 23rd, The Day One Project, housed at the Federation of American Scientists will be hosting a day-long event that will:
1. Showcase a set of 15-20 bold new S&T policy proposals ready for action on Day One of the next presidential term;
2. Feature inspiring policy pitches from an ideologically diverse set of S&T policy experts;
3. Announce a call for fresh ideas from new perspectives – and invite attendees to begin workshopping their ideas through a policy design session.
We'll be providing a light breakfast and coffee.
