Isha Parlikar

What was the inspiration behind your artwork?

Inspired by patterns observed during cell culture analysis.

Inspired by fibrous network of microtubules.

Inspired by research work happening around the world for studying coronavirus.

Inspiration: "Coronavirus virus has changed our lives drastically. Human society on planet earth is experiencing spiritual awakening and on the other hand is going through the loss due to this disaster and collateral damages. This art is dedicated to defeat the invisible coronavirus" The world is looking forward to COVID vaccine development and we all hope success to the vaccine development teams faster than ever.

This sci-art is digital vector image designed for visualizing of how COVID vaccines are being developed and what it takes to reach you. I have considered pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine for vaccine product designed.

What do you see as the similarity between science and art? Why is science-art important in today's society?

Science can be effectively communicated with arts and arts can use facts/basics of science in its presentation.
