Chelsie Boodoo is a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. student at Michigan State University. She studies what happens to the extracellular matrix of cells after they have been stressed. She has a passion for science communication, and started MSU SciComm with other graduate students to create a welcoming space for everyone to practice scicomm however they want. She co-hosts "The Sci-Files" with Daniel Puentes on WDBM to explore the different topics that MSU students research.

Daniel Puentes is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, where he does research at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory. His research involves measuring the mass of radioactive nuclei, & how it can tell us how protons & neutrons are arranged inside of a nucleus. This research also helps scientists understand how the elements were created in different stellar environments! He also co-hosts "The Sci-Files" on WDBM with Chelsie Boodoo & he helped start MSU SciComm.

I am a 3rd year medical student in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. I will be completing my rotations at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. I hope to pursue an emergency medicine residency upon graduation. I also went to MSU for my undergraduate degree & graduated in December 2017 with a BS in Human Biology from Lyman Briggs & the Honors College. I am the current president of Golden Key International Honor Society.

Omar Kana is a 2nd year pharmacology and toxicology PhD student at Michigan State University. His research looks at drug induced genetic changes in the liver.

Noelia is a 4th year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. She also works as an undergraduate research assistant in a lab that focuses on the research and use of extracellular vesicles in the treatment of cancer. Her specific project utilizes CRISPR/Cas9 in order to better understand the biogenesis of extracellular vesicles.

Leigh Anne Tiffany is a Ph.D. Student and Research Assistant at Michigan State University in the Information & Media and Environmental Science and Policy programs; specifically, she studies science communication. Most recently, she was the Communications Specialist for Defenders of Wildlife. She is an internationally-recognized storyteller whose work has been featured on NBC, PBS NewsHour, International Journalists Network, and NPR's science radio program WHYY The Pulse. She received her Master of Science in Journalism (Science Concentration) degree from Columbia Journalism School. A scientist-turned-journalist, she received her University Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Saint Joseph’s University, and has worked in wildlife conservation for over a decade.

Hazel is a senior undergraduate majoring environmental plant biology. She is currently researching climate change effects on plants and biodiversity. She is particularly interested in science policy regarding climate change.

Maddy is an undergraduate student at MSU studying experience architecture.
